I have strange problem during startup of eclipse. Just after the startup i
get the following nessage:
"could not create intro part", and a empty reason. I can't figure out what
is going on. I've scanned the newcomer questions as it seems to be a
newcomer problem. But .. nothing.
Does someone have a clue?

This is totally, absolutely wild guess as I am not specialist on this in
any way but do you have mozilla installed?

Cheers,
Radek.

You're getting the "could not create intro part" error because you're
using the default java environment installed with Fedora (GCJ) rather
than a Java runtime from Sun or IBM. Install Java 1.4.1 or later, make
sure it shows up first on the path, and eclipse should run properly.

Hope this helps,
- Jeff

Before using eclipse ie downloaded the 1.4.2-10 jdk (rpm.bin) and
installed it as described. I also added the JAVA_HOME to my bash_profile.
Is that not enough?

I thought it might be worth it to note that I am seeing the same issue
with jrockit-j2sdk1.4.2_08. I switch to the Sun JDK and it works fine.
