| Project configuration settings - any comprehensive listing available ? [message #119180] | Fri, 21 November 2003 01:11 | |

Is there a way to chronicle what I've done to get myself properly
configured ? I guess what I am wondering is whether or not there exists a
file somewhere which lists the project's configuration settings, perhaps
an XML file which contains all of the project settings, so that I might
archive it someplace for reference in case I ever need to reconfigure this
project (since retracing my steps through the GUI may not be intuitive
after a month or two). All I can see that Eclipse has created are the
project and .classpath files, neither of which appear to contain any info
which might help me recreate what I've just done.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The two files mentioned above contain the project's setup including the
build path and the dependencies. However, you cannot recreate the
project from them. The best way to recreate a project is by storing it
into a version control system e.g. CVS and later retrieving it from there.
Preferences can be exported using the Export button on the preference
 dialog.
