I'm using Eclipse 2.1.1

org.eclipse.ui.part.MultiEditor

Any pointers to an implementation of this? I have a case where this
compositing of editors would be useful. MultiPageEditor or
MultiPageEditorPart are not the trick for me.

I'd like to group some editors together.

I suppose you could look at Eclipse itself. Take a tour through
WorkbenchPage and EditorManager and related in the org.eclipse.ui.workbench
plugin (workbench.jar).
