Ant plugin update to v1.5.4? [message #115007] Fri, 22 August 2003 14:33 Go to next message

I have searched for a mechanism to update the Ant plugin in eclipse from
v1.5.3 to v1.5.4 (released earlier this month) ... but have not found any
information. I suspect that the process is more involved than simply
updating the ant.jar and optional.jar in the plugin directory. I have
searched both the eclipse and the apache site for this information.

Did I miss the information somewhere ... or has the upgraded plugin not been
made available yet?

Joseph

The upgraded plugin is available as of the Integration build that came out
earlier this week.
See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=41277
The process is not really any more involved than updating the ant.jar and
the optional.jar.

Of course you can set Eclipse's Ant integration to use any Ant install by
setting the correct ANT_HOME either globally using the Ant runtime classpath
preference page or for any specific Ant launch configuration on the
classpath tab.
I mostly work on Ant 1.6.
OT: Any particular reason you are moving to Ant 1.5.4...it has a pretty
minor set of bug fixes.

Thanks. Perhaps I should look at Ant 1.6 also.
