Package explorer: "Up" button grayed out - can't navigate to root [message #110510] Sat, 25 October 2003 19:13 Go to next message

This is a problem that crops up every once in a while. I've been
working on a project that consists of a number of source folders.
Recently I selected one of the source code subfolders
(spatialindex/TBtree) and from the right-click menu I selected the
option to open the folder in a new window. I then exited eclipse and
forgot about it. Now sometimes in the package explorer all I can see
are the files in that particular subfolder and the navigate up button is
grayed out so I can't see anything else in that project, nor can I see
any other projects in my workspace. I have deselected all working sets
and have applied no filters but still I can't navigate to the root
folder in my workspace. Any suggestions how I can get my workspace back?

Thanks.
Fix: Close Package Explorer view & reopen - but why did it happen in first place [message #110524 is a reply to message #110510] Sat, 25 October 2003 19:25 Go to previous message

So I found a solution to my problem. I closed the package explorer view
and reopened it and that seems to solve the problem. I can navigate up
to the root folder. But I still don't know why all the folders
disappeared in the first place. Any ideas?
