i'm looking at the wtp project plan, and i notice that the wtp is
currently building twords a 0.7 release in mid summer. where can i find
the future plans for beyond 0.7. i'm interested into what features make
the product considered a 0.7 release for mid-summer and what will be
scheduled for a 1.0 implementation.

thanks!

Hi Mark,

Originally the July release was named WTP 1.0 but it was announced today
that the release has been renamed WTP 0.7. The rename signifies that the
WTP is not really at a 1.0 release yet as there is not enough public API
ready to call the WTP a platform. This means the 0.7 release will focus on
high quality end user tools while the 1.0 release will focus on finalizing
the WTP API.

Hi Johannes,

The WTP hasn't really been delayed. The function that will be included in
WTP 0.7 is the same as was planned for WTP 1.0. The rename follows Eclipse
conventions for 1.0 releases (it is expected that 1.0 releases of Eclipse
platform projects have significant public API) and properly reflects the
state of the WTP in the version number.
