The CDT download page lists hundreds of unit test failures on the latest
CDT2.0 stream. Do these indicate a problem in the code or the tests?

The failures are with the test environment on the build machine. The builds
are still good.

Note, the update site for the nightly builds is not functioning correctly.
You should use the zip files directly

Well, but even downloading the zip-files is very slow. Most time it gets
down to 3..4kB/s, but I'm on a 2Mbit line.

Also, it would be nice, if someone could strip down the download site,
showing only the e.g. last ten daily builds. I don't think someone still
will download daily builds before e.g 2.0M9.
