Hi.
I package Eclipse and related extensions for the Gentoo Linux distribution.
I have attempted multiple times to build the CDT from outside Eclipse using
the build scripts provided in the CVS module org.eclipse.cdt.releng (which
is not longer tagged properly, for some reason), but even when removing the
site-specific parts, I have never been able to get so far along to even
start compiling.
Are there any plans to have a src .zip drop that includes proper build
scripts, in the same fashion as the main eclipse source drops?

I guess the main issue we have right now is that there is no one who has
the time to work on the build environment. Right now, it works for our
nightly builds and I've heard varying reports on others using it (e.g. Tom
Tromey from Red Hat seems to have them working.)
If you have any suggestions, or better yet, patches, I'd be happy to apply
them.
