We are coming up with a guide that will instruct people with large legacy
projects on how to migrate to the CDT.

With CDT M9 (due out soon) you will be able to disable indexing on projects
you are not working upon) so to improve indexer scalability. You also will
be able to set up source folders (ala JDT) which will ensure that our
features do not react or work upon source that is not in these folders.
These 2 features can greatly improve your chances at scaling.
