| hprof stacktrace info support [message #9452] | Tue, 10 March 2009 16:24 | |
| Eclipse User | | | | | Recent JDK7 and JDK6u14 builds include stack trace information, linking local var JVMTI roots (and I assume JNI JVMTI roots) to specific stack
 frames of specific threads.

It would be great to have support for this, both in the UI as well as
 through the API.

| Eclipse User | | | | | Hi,
I have submitted the first changes to extract the stacktraces info from
newer hprof files, and we have uploaded a new "nightly build" version end
of last week. Mode details in the bugzilla message:

 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=268458

So you can already download the latest version and try out the new feature
 - the Thread Stacks query. I enjoyed it a lot. Gives the feeling of using
an "offline" debugger working on a snapshot.

If you have any further suggestions, critics, or in general - any
 feedback, then let me know.

 Regards,
 Krum
