I'm trying to use Eclipse 3.0 with CDT. When I try to save a .c file I get
the following error:

Attempted to beginRule: R/, does not match outer scope rule: L/DCC/test.c

Anyone know how to fix this?

Which CDT build are you using. Which Eclipse build?

There was a combination of Eclipse 3.0 M7 or M8 and CDT post M7 builds that
caused a similar problem.

When did you download the CDT 2.0M8? I think there had been a second M8
build shortly after the announcement, because of this error.
