I installed the eclipse SDK 3.1 on my Red Hat EL4 (WS) AMD Opteron powered
linux box. I am using the SUn JRE 1.5 Update 4. When I go to start eclipse
the following error pops in the log and eclipse dies:

any thoughts / comments / corrections to what I may have done incorrectly?
I can start eclipse on a 32-bit Intel Xeon machine running RHEL 3 that
uses an older version of the jre.
