For example, if we add a field and reorder some and maybe delete (I
don't know exactly what the report developer did), the ordinal
positioning starts with one and NOT zero. Also, the order is what is in
the intial dataset view, not Editing mode (where you can move columns up
and down).

We have BIRT 1.0.1 installed. I would have gone to 2, if it were just
me developing Reports.
