Update Existing Plugin [message #92226] Thu, 04 August 2005 14:53
Eclipse UserFriend
How do you update an existing plugin?

I have the plugin in for the XML parser xerces_2.6.2 installed as a
pluring in my Eclipse 3.1 version. However, I have found a bug in that
version of xerces and need to upgrade to the newer version (2.7.1) of
xerces. If I install and copy the plugin to my plugin directory then I
have both plugins appearing in my plugin list. Should I then delete the
older plugin out of the directory?

Is there any side affects for doing this?

Thanks,
Ben
