When Creating a new report I do not see the charting icon in the Pallete.
I was able to create and run basic reports but nothing with charts.

I installed the last release on one machine as well as the latest
milestone on another. Both machines are running XP and the follwing
downloads.

1st Try:
---------------------------
Windows XP
T43 Thinkpad
eclipse-SDK-3.1.1-win32
GEF-runtime-3.1.1
xsd-runtime-2.1.0
birt-report-framework-1_0_1

2nd Try
---------------------------
Windows XP
T43 Thinkpad
eclipse-SDK-3.1.1-win32
GEF-runtime-3.1.1
xsd-runtime-2.1.0
birt-report-framework-2.0M2

Kyle,

I didnt see EMF in your list.
EMF is a requirement for BIRT.

Hi,
i have the same weird problem on Mac OS X : no charts. Everything runs
smoothly, loads of bug have been corrected on M2... except that i cannot
test charts. No icon, no pictures of charts in existing reports.

Mac OS X 10.4.3
eclipse 3.1.0
EMF 2.1.1
GEF 3.1.1

Am i missing something ?

Thanks,

David

I've installed :
emf-sdo-runtime-2.1.0
xsd-runtime-2.1.0
that's all i could find concerning emf.
Indeed, EMF is clearly available in eclipse since i can create new EMF
Project...

David (or someone else), can you confirm that charts run on Mac OS X ?
If so, i'll try to re-install, eclipse and all the stuff needed, again...

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I can't really confirm, we do not test on Mac OS. However I have seen some
bug reports where uses were able to use the chart builder inside BIRT, so it
should work. Do you see anything in the workspace log or designer log?

Thanks,

David
