Help with creating a .jar file [message #90160] Thu, 28 July 2005 14:47
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I'm using the Export Wizard to create a .jar file, but I have encountered
two problems.

My class files are located in "c:\eclipse
projects\omniview_blackhawk\java-bin".

(1) When I select JAR File in the wizard, the java-bin directory isn't
listed, so I can't select my class files. However, if I create a zip file,
then java-bin does appear in the list. How do I get my class files to be
put into a jar file.

(2) When I select the destination for the jar or zip file, I can't create it
in "c:\eclipse projects" because I get a message saying that the destination
path conflicts with the workspace root. Why can't the jar file be stored
within my project?

I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours now, so I thought it was
time to ask for some help.

Thank you,
Don
