The dataset used by the Chart is invalid [message #86469] Wed, 02 November 2005 05:28 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I'm using BIRT 1.0.1.

I have successfully created a scripted dataset and I can display the
expected data in a table. But when I use the very same datasource in a pie
chart or bar chart, I get this error:

There are error(s) in Chart:null

Error0 : Error.ExtendedItemRenderingError(1 time)detail: There are
problems(s) rendering Chart extended item .

The dataset used by the Chart is invalid

The dataset used by the Chart is invalid

Is there any way to find out what could be wrong? The error message
doesn't really help.

The datasource returns two columns and I tried different datatypes
(Integer and String) but that didn't help.

Regards,

Aaron,

Could you please file a bugzilla entry describing this problem and attach
your scripted dataset and the report where you're trying to use it?
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/

Thanks,

David

You can find an example at
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=114745

The pure-JavaScript version works but it fails when I try to use the Java
version.

Regards.

Thank you, we will investigate this issue and attempt to resolve it for the
next milestone.
