You did not search before posting... :-)

You have included the Xerces JARs on your Ant runtime classpath. See the
Eclipse readme, known issues section; Ant for more details.

in the 3.0 stream I have implemented a warning dialog for this case

I did quite a bit of Googling on various key words within the error
statement and nothing helpful came up. I also perused the eclipse
documentation etc... but there's so much out there... I obviously missed
it...

Not a problem :-)

Googling will not work as the eclipse newsgroups are not indexed.

Use http://www.eclipse.org/search/search.cgi and set the scope as
appropriate.
