Asynchronous UI refresh [message #7016] Wed, 14 March 2007 05:02 Go to next message

Hi,

Is it possible to "refresh" the UI based on an asynchronous event (i.e.
event not started by user). For example, if we create a Thread that adds
elements to a table viewer, how the user interface can automaticly reflect
these changes?

Regards,
Xavier

Hi Xavier,

asynchronously refreshing the UI is planned but there is no time-frame
set yet.

Here you can find a very short abstract about multithreading and UI
updates in RWT:

Cheers,
Rüdiger
