Cannot build PVCS projects [message #71469]

After you checked out the project, try the "Convert to C/C++ Project"
Wizard. Maybe that will help, since it will create a .cdtproject file.

That did the trick. I did not even know that such a wizard existed. I had to
customize the C perspective to find the option. It is enabled from now on.
