Is it possible to adjust file chooser tab widths in text editor? Currently
they are too narrow. You get easily confused if there are 6 same letters
at the beginning of a filename (e.g. ("ASTKey...") which often might
happen with class names. Also, could it be possible to put tabs to several
rows?

No, but if you disable the 'General>Editor>Show multiple editor tabs'
preference, you only see a single, easily readable tab with a drop-down
to select betweent the different editors.
