Ooooooooops the <Tab> key acts as <Post>, so my message was posted before
I've finished it. Here it is all.

Hi,

On page: http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/index.php , it appears there
is a
version of eclipse for Linux/ia64 [Linux (IA 64/GTK 2)] .

But not all tools seem available for this platform:

Available: Eclipse SDK, Example Plug-ins, JDT Runtime Binary, JDT SDK,
PDE Runtime Binary, PDE SDK, FTP and WebDAV Support,
org.eclipse.releng.tools plug-in

Not Available: JUnit Plugin Tests and Automated Testing Framework,
RCP Runtime Binary, RCP SDK, Platform SDK, SWT Binary and
Source

Though the "JUnit Plugin Tests and Automated Testing Framework" is said to
be
usable on all platforms, the documentation (August 2003) does not talk
about ia64, and the tool runtests does not know about ia64.

2 questions:

a) Are there plans for providing a version of "JUnit Plugin Tests and
Automated
Testing Framework" for linux/ia64 ?
1) or is it enough to update the shell runtests, since eclipse is pure
Java?
2) it is worth to be able to automatically test all eclipse on
linux/ia64
since JVMs are not yet stabilizied on this environment.

b) Are there plans for providing the last 4 "Not Available" tools ?

(I'm a newcomer ...)

Thanks,

Tony
