This is now officially available and you can get it from the Visual Editor
download page http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ve/downloads/index.php.
This contains a few emergency fixes for VE 1.0, especially the well known
problem with renaming components within VE. Please see the 1.0.1.1 download page
for a link to list of bug fixes.
This is also available through the update manager. If you already have 1.0
installed, just do "Find and Install", then search for updates. Only select the
VE update, not the EMF ones.
If you have already installed the M20040929 maintenance driver, you don't need
to install 1.0.1.1 because they are the same. If you still want to install the
official 1.0.1.1 driver, do NOT use the update manager. Just download and unzip
the VE runtime (or SDK)zip over the top of your installation and start Eclipse
with the -clean option.
Regards...

All of the EMF's out there are actually development drivers for 2.0.1,
but because of the way that update manager works, it thinks they are
updates to 2.0.1. But they are actually downlevel from the official
released 2.0.1.
We have also not yet stated support for any development drivers for EMF
2.1, so those drivers aren't supported yet.

Thanks, Peter.
But why wh shouldn't update the EMF? Can I update it after updating the VE
and restarting eclipse?
