My company develops pricing and trading systems for investment banks,
including FX front-office systems for streaming FX prices to clients and
ECNs. We would be interested in a discussion about contributing the
framework components of our code to the ofmp project. The code prices and
distributes FX spot and forward prices to the banks clients, including
corporates, fund managers, etc. It is not a 100% as ofmp is essentially
risk management, whereas this is electronic trading.
We would like to discuss the technology fit and functional fit. Is this
newgroup the correct forum?
Thank you
Matt

Hi Matt,
As stated on the proposal OFMP is not only Risk Management oriented, it also
includes standard operational features like Front to Back STP, manual keying
of deals, Front to Back deal validation workflow, etc...
We are of course very much interested in your contribution, specially on the
pricing area.
In regards to Eclipse principles, projects must be as open as possible, so
indeed we can start discussing about technology fit and functional fit with
your application in this topic.
Thank you
Fred

Hello!
I would say, It's rather "data flow", then a "worflow".

That is a good keyword. Is this an area, where other Eclipse projects
like the BPM/Workflow standards also are likely to be of use?

In fact this workflow is not too dynamic so I think BPM tools are a bit
overkill, at least for the moment.
