Better error diagnostics while generating model? [message #68517] Tue, 24 October 2006 09:37 Go to next message

Hi,

I would like to ask for a help with fixing errors inside the GMF Mapping.

I'm quite new with the GMF stuff and I can't get through some errors I've
made somewhere inside the Mapping. When I start computation of the generator
model, I get four times a message
Top level node 'Containment Feature' must be available in the diagram
'Domain Element' or its super-class.

It nicely describes a reason, but I have absolutely no idea where to fix it.
I do not see any "Containment Feature" unfilled anywehere among the mapping
definitions.
Is there a way to get more specific info, please?

regards,
Eduard

Do you have any containment features with the same name? in that case it's
dificult to discriminate between these two. IIRC, there's a null element
in the drop down list, too, and all the elements above this null element
(empty line) are features of the given parent class while the features
below the empty line are features of the given type, but in other parent
classes, so you should pick one from the upper half of the list.

If you double-click the Error in the Problem View you are brought directly
to the error's location.
