[AGR] Inconclusive results when playing back hierarchic test suites [message #64340] |

Hello.
I have a master test suite which does not directly define any test cases
but simply invokes other test suites. I find that, if the invoked test
suites reside in different folders from the master test suite, the
master test suite cannot be played back successfully: the Eclipse
workbench is briefly instantiated, but the bodies of the invoked test
suites are never executed and then the process ends with inconclusive
results. If instead the suites are organized in a flat structure (as
opposed to a hierarchical one), all works well.
Please note that a hierarchical organization is not a problem when a
suite invokes test cases from other suites directly, they can be located
anywhere and all functions properly.
Has anybody encountered this problem? Is it a bug or a limitation?
TIA
Barbara
PS: Thank you very much, Ali, for a fantastic tool! I have been doing
GUI testing with Rational XDETester, and I must say that AGR is such a
breath of fresh air!... :-)
I finally feel in control of things and capable of defining verification
points at whatever granularity I feel necessary.

On further examination in my real testing environment, it turns out that
I get the same inconclusive results also when my master test suite is
located in the same folder as the suites that I am invoking from the
master suite.
Just in case it is of any help, I am attaching the .execution file that
shows the problem.
Thanks to anyone that might shed some light on the issue.
