Logic Editor Example IBM Copyright Statements [message #63281] Fri, 07 February 2003 18:04 Go to next message

Why do so many files in the Logic example contain IBM copyrights. Shouldn't
someone who wants to use GEF be able to copy these files and rename
them/modify them to fit their environment? Is the copyright intentional or
just an oversight?

Thanks.

For example from ContainerHighlightEditPolicy lines 2-7:
/*
* Licensed Material - Property of IBM
* (C) Copyright IBM Corp. 2001, 2002 - All Rights Reserved.
* US Government Users Restricted Rights - Use, duplication or disclosure
* restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract with IBM Corp.
*/

Have you looked at Eclipes code?

/*
* (c) Copyright IBM Corp. 2000, 2001.
* All Rights Reserved.
*/

I am not sure what you mean. Is the intention to be able to cut/paste/copy
the example to make your own new code?

Also I thought the eclipse code was under the Common Public License and I
have found this statement or one like it in the sources:

/*********************************************************** ***********

are made available under the terms of the Common Public License v0.5
