Hi,

bringing the real splash screen concept to RAP is not yet possible.
An alternative solution would be to use the RAP branding
(org.eclipse.rap.ui.branding extension point) to customize the body of
the startpage by adding a new "splash" image to it.

Take a look at the RAP demo plugin which comes with the target how to
work with the branding extension point. Also see the RAP help for more
informations:

Indeed, I have modified the body.html file and added some html code. It
works fine and the behavior is as I had expected :)
