Hi,

Is there a way to start the tomcat server in the Eclipse framework
directly from the command line?

I would like to just start the tomcat server.

Thanks for your help.

No. Tomcat plug-in is intended to be run under Eclipse framework as an
embedded server, not the stand-alone server. The closest you can get to
running it from command line is to start stand-alone help that will run
_embedded_ tomcat. Whey don't you just download Tomcat and start it
according to its instructions.
