There was some mention some time ago about a direct-graph layout for draw2d.
Is this still happening? If so when will it be available?

The GC layout will probably be in the 2.2 release. Here are the issues:

1) No time to work no it now.
2) No example that tests the functionality.
3) Don't know if the algorithm that was implemented is "public domain".

Do you mean "patent-free"? Is it the Sugiyama algorithm? Then the answer
is yes.
