Yes, the IBM team that provided the original Web Services Tools
contribution is monitoring this newsgroup. BTW, we plan to officially
contribute web services function in M3 (ETA February 25).

I see. I presume then that the download I found and used isn't for 3.0.1
and why it doesn't work fully.

It seemed to be complete, at least the UI followed the "Getting Started"
document up to the point where I tried to create a new Web Service then it
couldn't read the method on the Converter bean I created.

As this is exactly what I need, I would be interested in working with the
nightly builds if I can and contribute what I can, at least in the way of
bug reports if not code, so how can I get involved?

The short answer is any way you like. Download the M2 release or a more
recent nightly build. Open bug reports in Eclipse's bugzilla system
(http://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs) for any problems you find. You can
contribute code fixes in the bug reports in the way of patches once you
feel ready. The WTP project needs documentation as well. Writing a
tutorial is a great way to learn how to use part of the project and
contribute back help to new users.

You should also read the contributing to WTP page at
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/development/contributing.htm l.

If you have any questions about using the tools post them to this
newsgroup. Development questions can be posted to one of the mailing
lists.

Welcome to the WTP community.

Excellent, I will do that. What is the URL to download the nightly builds?

That "original Web Services Tools" I take it that is no longer valid and I
should stop trying to get it to work?

How do I uninstall it from my Eclipse 3.0.1?
