They really don't do anything of interest. :-( They are a start for VE
extenders. They don't help people who are just using the VE to edit
visual classes.
That said, just unzip them to your eclipse just like you do for the
runtime. The only one of interest to a developer of beans to be used by
the VE is the javaexamples. And to see them in an editor you open the
classpath in a test project and add it as a library to the classpath
(see Add Library... button on the build path page).
As we move forward we will be creating articles and expanding the
examples to developers who wish to extend the VE.
