Hi all,
I am new to Mylyn. I saw the webinar about it and decided to start
using it, step by step, on my own project. However, there is one very
annoying thingy which occurs in combination with the desktop effects on
openSUSE 11.0 with Gnome: Alt+click is caught by the window manager
(Compiz) since it is bound to ‘move window’. Since I didn’t find out
how to change this setting in Compiz yet, I’m asking here: can I change
the binding in Eclipse/Mylyn?
Thanks, H.

This is one of the most annoying issues with Mylyn. And actually the reason is the Eclipse SWT which
does not support to bind the META or WIN key instead of Alt-Click.
So for the moment the only option is to reconfigure the window manager.
There is Eclipse bug
55236: Please support SWT.MOD4 on platforms other than the Mac
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=55236
which is closed with WONTFIX were the addition of modifier keys other than ALT are discussed.
Please consider reopening this bug, I would happy to vote and comment on it.
Mik, do you think we could find a way to get that working? Some ideas:
1. Allow to redefine the ALT key of Eclipse globally to be "META" or "WIN" or whatever the platform
provides.
2. Support other, platform specific modifier keys.
Cheers, Jörg
