Ed,
I have two XSD resources in my resouce set container, call them schemaA and
schemaB. If I set the basetype of a global simpletype in schemaA to
reference a simpletype in schemaB, when I save the resource for schemaA the
basetype reference is treated as an unresolved type definition. Do I need
to detect this situation and explicitly add an import or include declaration
to schemaA? Thanks in advance.

Dennis,
Yes, you need to add imports/includes as appropriate to make the names
you want to reference visible.
