Galileo is installed with m2eclipse and subclipse. When attempting to "Checkout a Maven Project from SCM" for the drop down list "SCM URL" the box has no options listed. I tried entering "scm:svn:svn://<svn repo url>/producta" (a valid location) on the second drop down I get simply get a message in the maven console: "SCM provider is not available for scm:svn:<svn repo url>/producta"

I have also tried http though I am using the svn protocol to no effect as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could cause this and specifically how to fix it?

Thanks

You need to install one of the SCM providers for m2eclipse. There is 3
providers available for svn support - a generic Maven SCM providers, one
for Subclipse and another one for Subversive. See some docs at
https://docs.sonatype.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Home

regards,
Eugene

You indicated: "You need to install one of the SCM providers for m2eclipse". I have both m2eclipse and subeclipse installed and when I check both sites for installing more plugins for eclipse it indicates everything is installed. Is there some other plugin from some other site to install. I checked the docs you talked about but in the " https://docs.sonatype.org/display/M2ECLIPSE/Integration+with +Subclipse" doc it does not point to any install plugin.

Thanks

The m2eclipse consist of multiple features. Some of them are optional
(including all SCM handlers) and you have to install them from the
extras update site. See
http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/installing-m2eclipse.html
