How does the extension registry handle multiple versions of the same plugin? [message #53552]

Hi All,

I'm trying to figure out how the extension registry handles multiple versions of the same plugin?
That is, suppose an Eclipse-based application currently has two different versions of the same plugin installed and the same
extension is registered by both plugins. The two extensions are configured differently by the two plugins.
Does Eclipse simply use the extension and configuration from the plugin with the highest version number?
