Hi all,

we have created a BPMN sample using the BPMN modeler that represents the
first page of the due diligence process.

A screenshot is available here:
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/stp/org.eclipse.stp.bpmn/trun k/samples/bpmn_samples/eclipse%20IP%20process/due%20diligenc e.jpg

You can grab the whole project here:
http://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/stp/org.eclipse.stp.bpmn/trun k/samples/bpmn_samples/eclipse%20IP%20process

Let us know if you like it, feel free to open a bug against the STP BPMN
component if you see an error, or want more like this one.

Regards,

Antoine

Antoine,

Cool. It's absolute proof that some form of modeling is good for pretty
much everything!

Glad you like it Ed.

For those not able to distinguish the XML and the EMF model hidden
behind the screenshot, the modeler would have never worked without Ed
and his team's work. Thanks to you and the GMF team!

Can you post a screenshot of page 2?

Well, I would have to model it first, it takes time to analyze the
process and make it pretty - well, as pretty as it can get.

I opened a bug to track that:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=221518

I'll add you in CC.

Thanks,

Antoine

Don't worry, I am very happy to see interest over the BPMN modeler, and
I am very glad that you ask for more.

At the time I am in a bind preparing the EclipseCon tutorial, but I
could hopefully catch on with this later this month.

Here is the reference to our tutorial for those interested:
http://www.eclipsecon.org/2008/?page=sub/&id=496

We will model some BPMN.

Cheers,

Antoine

Hi Antoine,

You re-proofed that a picture is (more) worth than 1000 words!!! I hate
these lengthy verbal descritpions of processes but such diagrams give a
pretty clear picture at once. Good work ;-)

One semantic question: What is the left-most node "Receive Code" in the
"Due Dilligence Process" lane good for?

Enjoy your weekend
/Eike

Thanks!

It's a event-based gateway, decorated with the BPMN 1.1 specification
recommandation. If you are familiar with BPMN 1.0, it used to be a star
inside the gateway.

The event-based gateway is waiting for one of its events or a timer to
activate, and starts execution of the selected branch.
