I installed Eclipse 2.1 on a SuSe 8.2 load. Eclipse will run under
root but fails to start as a non-root user. What do I have to do to get
Eclipse to run under a non-root user. Thanks

Eclipse by default creates its workspace in the current directory. If you
want to avoid that (because you don't have rights to write to the Eclipse
directory), you can use the -data command line option:

/eclipse -data /home/my_home_dir/workspace
