Are there any good books on IDE design that you folks reading this can
recommend? I'm a first-year compsci student, and i'm trying to pick up
all kinds of threads right now, but my eventual goal is to build a
(relatively-decent) IDE tool, ideally on top of the Eclipse framework.
Right now, i'm stuck mainly on the low-level aspects of it, like syntax
highlighting and how that works in Eclipse, so books on that subject
would be great. But, mainly, what i'm interested in is something that
explores the concepts and requirements of a decent development
environment.

Any tips would be great, thanks.
