Code Assist: "Auto activation triggers for C:" [message #48426] Fri, 01 November 2002 04:03 Go to next message

Hi again,

Yes, I can't get my hands of Code Assist :-) I found out how the auto
activation works on Java, in the properties dialog there is the "Auto
activation triggers for Java:" Entryfield and in there I can enter a dot "."
which makes sense for Java.

So I went to the same page for the c/c++ plugin and entered "->" in there but
I get the error message on top of the dialog:

"CEditorPreferencePage.invalid_input".

Same happens if I enter "." instead. Is this a bug? I guess it should be
possible to have the trigger for "." and "->" in c/c++ or do I understand
something wrong here?

cu

This doesn't sound right to me. I'll look into it on MOnday morning.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

It seems to want an integer entered into this field.

Pretty much the code assist is not fully functional in the current code.
It is a feature that will be developed for the next major release of the
CDT.

Sorry for the confusion and the delay.
