I suspect that this build does not have proper Update Manager jars.
This issue should be solved for the 1.0.0 release.

In the meantime I suggest to install from successfull nightly builds:

The latest Net4j 0.7.0 solves this problem. Additional details here:

Oh, and since this is a release build, you'll want this UM site URL
instead of the interim one:
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/emft/updates/site.xml

Liam,

I suspect that this build does not have proper Update Manager jars.
This issue should be solved for the 1.0.0 release.
