I am having some difficuly profiling a java application. Basically the
scenario is that the app is a JMS queue listener running on a Sparc
Solaris 8 box using Sun jvm 1.4.1_06-b1. The lister is implemented using
jboss jms client libraries. I'm attaching to this using Haydes 3.20.
Everything seems to go ok until a message comes into the queue at which
point a bunch of jdbc activity begins against a local Oracle instance.
Then the queue JVM exits with the notation "Alarm Clock xxxxxx" then the
rest of the command line args are printed. xxxxxx is an integer. No
exception stack trace or suchlike appears.
The queue handles the same message just fine if the jvm is started without
the -XrunpiAgent:server=controller jvm argument. The queue does not crash
while in it's wait loop, only when a message arrives.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be and how to avoid it?
