If anyone is interested in working on xml-based editor for m2eclipse
please comment here or on JIRA issue

We have advanced indexing backend that provides enough information for
implementing various completions for Maven pom. It also would make sense
to have xml editor integrated within form-based editor and facilitate
navigation to xml from the form-based editor.
