Obtaining Revision and Branch info from a Team Resource [message #38434]

How do I do this ?

The only example I could find for this was in the CVS source. It uses
internal components to get the information.

I want to obtain this information regardless of the specific Team
repository provider in use, so this would not work for me even if it
did not break platform development rules.

Any ideas?
