Should I report this as a bug? If so on what product?
(I am using opensuse 15.4 and I installed Eclipse using the new oomph install- all software is upto date)
My attempts to install scala have failed and corrupted my Eclipse installation. Now every time I start Eclipse it crashes with this error 'An error has occurred' immediately after I select the workspace. The log is at the bottom of this page: https://www.euclideanspace.com/software/language/functional/scala/install/index.htm
The following is what I did to attempt to install scala:
First I went to Marketplace within Eclipse. I looked for scala but could not find it.
I then went to the marketplace website and found scala here: https://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/scala-ide. I then dragged the install button to the marketplace window in Eclipse.
Eclipse then brought up this dialog. I left the default selections:
* Scala IDE
* Weaving for Scala
* Scala Search
* Scala Worksheet
The next dialog screen said the 'Scala Search' would not be installed.
After confirming this I was asked to confirm the terms and conditions which I did.
There was then another dialog box which said I need to restart eclipse for this to take effect.
So I restarted Eclipse.
After selecting workspace I get error: 'An error has occurred'. This happens every time I attempt to start eclipse.
Screenshots and full log are on this page: https://www.euclideanspace.com/software/language/functional/scala/install/index.htm
