How to synchronize "Clean Up" and "Save Actions" [message #1851405]

Hi,

if you define formatter rules (Java - Code Style - Formatter), these are simple rules like Indentation. More complex rules are defined in "Clean Up" like "Use blocks in if/while/for/do statements". The same preferences can be configured in the Java - Editor - Save Actions. But I have to configure it twice. For me it doesn't make sense, to distinguish between these two rulesets. So my question is: can I synchronize the "Clean Up" rules with the "Save Actions" rules?

Just the other day I noticed the same issue. I configured a nice Cleanup Profile and then wanted to select that named profile on the "Save Actions" page, but there's no "Select Profile" widget ;-(

@Platform Would it be much effort to provide a way to use an existing Cleanup profile on the Editor Save Actions page?

I want this too. Or at least some way of defining a profile for the save actions. See the related bug report: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=178429 and my comment at the bottom
