I freshly installed:
Eclipse IDE for Scientific Computing (includes Incubating components)

Version: 2021-12 (4.22.0)
Build id: 20211202-1639

on OSX Monterey.

There is an error message that pops up annoyingly often :

Error: An internal error occurred during: "Exporting Eclipse Profile"
Exporting Eclipse Profile.
An internal error occurred during: "Exporting Eclipse Profile".
org/eclipse/oomph/setup/presentation/handlers/PerformHandler

Any idea how to get rid of it?

Cheers

What are you doing at the time this pops up? Is there a stack trace available via the Error view you could share?

the error appears simply during editing code in a random way.

all the info available in the message windows and the details section are:

Error: An internal error occurred during: "Exporting Eclipse Profile"
Exporting Eclipse Profile.
An internal error occurred during: "Exporting Eclipse Profile".
org/eclipse/oomph/setup/presentation/handlers/PerformHandler

I have trouble imagining how this could happen randomly while editing. I could imagine a problem like this happening once on startup, but not repeatedly/randomly while editing. I really need a stack trace to be able to understand what triggers this issue. Have you looked in the Error Log view as I requested? Use Window -> Show Viewer -> Other... -> General -> Error Log to open it. I also can't find that message string in Oomph's source code making the problem even more mysterious to me...
