How to restore console "overlay" ? [message #1843357] Sun, 25 July 2021 12:28
Eclipse UserFriend
Not exactly a newcomer to Eclipse but it seems this is the best place for this question.

I just accidentally pressed or moved something, messing up my console view and I don't know how to restore it.

I used to have my console open as an overlay on top of the current tab, kind of "sliding out" from the top of the toolbar. It would automatically hide again when clicking anywhere outside of the console window.
After my accident, the console is now an extra tab on its own, or a new window - but I cannot figure out how to restore this "dynamic overlay" behavior ..
Hopefully my description made sense, I attached a picture (black box is roughly how my console showed up).

I thought this was the default behavior, but I'm not sure. I tried resetting the perspective, but it did not help. Maybe I customized this a long time ago and don't remember how I did it ..

Can anyone help?
