Eclipse Helios IDE Editor displaying Japanese characters as junk [message #1836335]

Hi,
When i try to open C file containing Japanese characters as comments in eclipse Helios IDE editor, it is displaying those characters as junk characters, but if i opened using Notepad++, it is displaying the comments in Japanese correctly.

Text File Encoding is set as UTF-8 in Eclipse.

Attached screenshots for reference.

Your help in this regard is appreciated.

Hi

I recall a JDT thread just after 2020-06 reporting similar issues with 'Chinese' characters, and IIRC the problem was a change in the default font installations for perhaps Linux / Windows.
