Hi,

- Is Eclipse IDE for Java Developers faster than Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers? (E.g. regarding start up time, overall responsiveness, ...)
- Can I upgrade Eclipse IDE for Java Developers afterwards (by installing plugins and the like?) to get to the state as Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers? Does this come with disadvantages?

Best regards
Max

In the end, all the packages are just collections of features on top of the same underlying IDE framework. You can install any of these features separately or after the fact. Installing more things might make startup slightly slower but in a running IDE the responsiveness will generally depend on which features you're using rather than on the overall set of features you've installed.

Hi all,

I installed Eclipse Java EE version, but I would like to set it up fo Java SE programming also.

Does anyone can help me to do that (if possible)?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards.
